And here you have one of the videos, this one about the Atlantis hotel in Dubai.

eyeOS launched, best webOS ever
Monday, June 04, 2007

The new eyeOS 1.0 has just been launched. eyeOS is the best web desktop or webOS available today.
With more than 120,000 registered users in the public server, and a developers server at eyeOS.org, this group of Spanish kids (all younger than 23) has done what everybody else was dreaming about.
But you better create an account right now and test it yourself . It's free.
The developers team are:
- Pau Garcia-Milà
- Marc Cercós
- David Plaza
- Jose Carlos Norte
- Daniel Gil
- Alejandro Fiestas
I used to annoy them, but now is time for them to flight solo. :D

What's wrong with Bloglines ?
Friday, March 16, 2007
I like bloglines.
But they have so many problems that today I have decided to move my OPML file to Google Reader.
And although I don't like Google Reader (sorry), I cannot take any more:
Wait ... did I say that the most troubled feeds are from YouTube and Blogger ??? Could it be that Google ..... ?? Nahhhhh, don't think evil .....
But they have so many problems that today I have decided to move my OPML file to Google Reader.
And although I don't like Google Reader (sorry), I cannot take any more:
- Reading hundred times the same posts from blogger blogs. Even mine. I am about to unsubscribe to my own blog !!
- Slow update of posts. Sometimes I see articles in Lifehacker or TechCrunch hours before they show up in bloglines.
- Useless options. I keep saying that I want the interface in English, but it changes from English to Spanish depending on the computer I use.
- Again: I have marked "read" again all my feeds from YouTube. The same 3 feeds, with the same videos, I have had to "read" them 20 times today !!! 20 !!!
Wait ... did I say that the most troubled feeds are from YouTube and Blogger ??? Could it be that Google ..... ?? Nahhhhh, don't think evil .....
Is Microsoft preparing it's own Vista Killer OS ?
Monday, March 12, 2007
The way I see it, there is simply too many people that hate Microsoft.
They hate Bill Gates, the hate Steve Ballmer, they hate the richness and corporate power that Microsoft represents. All in all, today Microsoft is the anti-cool company, and Vista the anti-cool OS.
So, instead of fighting against everybody and creating another huge PR campaign to clean this image, why not simply creating a new company in charge of creating a new cool OS ? Or two companies ? Or ten. That wouldn't be a problem for MS.
One of these companies could create a new Linux Distro, a real Ubuntu competitor. Another one could take OS/2 and remake it. Another one to take BSD or AmigaOS or AtariOS, or anything similar. And the last one could create something from scratch, maybe by absorbing a webOS like eyeOS and challenging Google itself.
The total cost of all these companies wouldn't be something MS cannot cope with. They could even be companies not officially supported by Microsoft, but free guerrilla companies to challenge the giant.
Instead of paying lawyers, paying programmers, that sounds like an idea for a software company.
But wait, how do I know that they are not doing it already ? :)

The speed of blogging
Tuesday, February 20, 2007
Right now I am waiting for bloglines ....
For some reason, it is not updating the feeds. It cannot be that of the 300 blogs I am subscribed to, none of them has been updated in the last 3 hours ....
So I was thinking .... if you are a blogger that depends on (re)publishing the latest news, where one hour difference can make it or not, relying on RSS feeds from feedburner plus a reader like bloglines can get you out of the game.
Sounds old-fashioned, but a firefox opening 20 tabs with the 20 main blogs you read and refreshing them often might be better than relying on bloglines .....

I'm back to Blogger
Monday, January 29, 2007
Wolfb is back in Blogger. After a year or so in a drupal platform, I've decided to move back to Blogger.
The reasons are simple: I made the mistake of installing 9 blogs in the same Drupal script, which worked fine for a while, but proved unmanageable at the end. And when I decided to move to another server, it was impossible to transfer the database or make any sense out of it.
So I cleaned most of the posts and moved back to Blogger. This blog is not my main one (which is the Spanish language hombrelobo), but I will keep it to post a few ideas from time to time in English and to announce news from the eyeOS project.
Funny, this must be the only blog moving to Blogger ... seems like everybody else is moving from Blogger to Wordpress .....
Stay tuned ... :)
